Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is having a virtual discussion for cancer patients and survivors about the Covid-19 vaccine on January 27, 2021 at 5 p.m. EST. Physicians from Dana-Farber will discuss common concerns and questions cancer patients and survivors have about the vaccine.
“While much information is publicly available, we know that cancer patients and survivors, and their families, have specific questions and want detailed information about the implications and availability of the vaccine,” said Steven R. Singer, chief communications officer, Dana-Farber. “We have an excellent panel of specialists and hope that this discussion will be a good resource for them.”
The discussion will be led by Dana-Farber leaders, including:
- Craig Bunnell, MD, Chief Medical Officer
- Anne Gross, PhD, RN, Senior Vice President Patient Care and Chief Nursing Officer
- Meghan Baker, MD, ScD, Hospital Epidemiologist
Following brief presentations, the panelists will answer questions from attendees.
The link to participate in the discussion is here, and attendees may submit questions for the speakers in advance here.
A recording of the Forum will be posted on the Dana-Farber website, where additional information about Covid-19 vaccines for cancer patients is located.
