Dolan, co-editor of the American Journal of Political Science, is the author of “When Does Gender Matter? With an expertise in Eastern Europe, the European Union and the rise of “Madame Ministers” in the world, Scherpereel can comment on the happenings in Europe and the implications for the rest of the world as well as the role of female leadership on the global stage. He is currently the Director of the European Union Policy Studies masters program, a one year program based in Florence, Italy, that gives students a specialization in the politics of the European Union. Through the program he posts concise videos explaining current EU issues.
He received his doctorate and master's from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his bachelor's from the University of Notre Dame.
