Since 2006, Davis has worked extensively with the military in the homeland security enterprise and force generation. During a twenty-year Army career, Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Davis served in a variety of command and staff positions in airborne, ranger, and Special Forces units. While an instructor at the US Army Infantry School, 1987-89, he was the principal author for the revision of Field Manual 7-10, The Rifle Company Manual. His military awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge, and Master Parachutist Badge. From 1997-2000, Davis served as a training consultant in the US State Department's Train and Equip Program in Bosnia-Herzegovina. From 2000-2005, he worked in public education as a JROTC instructor in San Antonio, Texas. Davis earned two degrees from Texas A&M University: a bachelor's in history (1976) and a PhD in education (2003). At Troy State University, he earned a master's degree in international relations (1989). Author of numerous articles, Dr. Davis most recent book, The Phinehas Priesthood: Violent Vanguard of the Christian Identity Movement, was published by Praeger Publishers in 2010. He and his wife Mary live on the Corner Ranch in South Texas.

Dr. Kisekka is an assistant professor in the Department of Information Security and Digital Forensics. She earned her doctoral degree from the University at Buffalo鈥檚 School of Management, where she received the 鈥淧hD Student Achievement Award."She is also a recipient of the Pacesetter Award from Argonne National Lab, for her research contributions in Information Security. Dr. Kisekka teaches Security Risk Analysis, Security Policies, and Fraud Detection. Dr. Kisekka has published her research in high quality information systems journals and has also presented at several conferences and workshops such as the International Conference on Information Systems and the Americas Conference on Information Systems. Her research interests areas are: 1) Information security and privacy, where she studies users鈥 online security behaviors, and employees鈥 security behaviors. 2) Health information technologies, specifically, improving the utility of HITs for patients. 3.) A relatively new research area is communication on social media, specifically, the spread of information and misinformation. Dr. Kisekka employs both qualitative and quantitative methodologies in her research. Prior to earning a doctoral degree, Dr. Kisekka worked as a software consultant, working on projects for big companies such as Pfizer and Diageo. She has since gained extensive hands-on experience in the area of information security from working at Argonne National Lab, and managing a digital forensics lab at the University at Buffalo. Her work has been recognized outside of academia by news media such as Spotlight News and the Albany Business Review.

Dr. Timothy Dunn, Salisbury University professor of sociology, has conducted extensive research into U.S.-Mexico border security, resulting in two books: The Militarization of the U.S. Mexico Border, 1978-1992: Low-Intensity Conflict Doctrine Comes Home and Blockading the Border and Human Rights: The El Paso Operation that Remade Immigration Enforcement. He also co-edited The Handbook of Human Security, Borders and Migration. In addition, Dunn has studied Latinx immigration on the Delmarva Peninsula. He has been featured on multiple national media platforms including National Public Radio鈥檚 Radiolab.

Rachana Ananthakrishnan is Executive Director & Head of Products at the University of Chicago, and has a Joint Staff Appointment at Argonne National Laboratory. In her role at the university, she leads the Globus (www.globus.org) department, which delivers a research data management platform to national and international research institutions. She also serves on the WestGrid Board of Directors, and is a member of the InCommon Community Assurance and Trust Board. Her work is focused on the research and education field, and she has worked on security and data management solutions on various projects including Earth System Grid (ESG), Biomedical Informatics Research Network (BIRN) and Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE). Prior to that she worked on the Globus Toolkit engineering and customer engagement teams, leading the efforts in web services and security technologies. Rachana received her MS in Computer Science at Indiana University, Bloomington.

Cossich served for 17 years in his most recent role as police chief and executive director of public safety at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. In this position, he developed community-based policing programs, improved officer training, incorporated technology into campus safety and developed emergency management processes for the campus community. Prior to this role, Cossich served as police chief at Angelo State University and director and police chief at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Cossich earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in criminal justice from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, a graduate certificate in criminal justice education from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and a master鈥檚 degree in criminal justice administration at the University of Texas 鈥 Permian Basin in Odessa. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Cossich has completed extensive law enforcement training and holds various professional affiliations. In the community, he has coached multiple sports and serves as a member of Rotary International.

He provide insight on diverse issues from irregular migration, refugee movements, security policies of EU and European states, as well as the rise of authoritarian regimes outside Europe.

Jeffrey Kuo, MD, MMM, is chair of patient flow and EMS, and serves as system medical director of emergency management and security at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. He plays a critical role in Ochsner’s patient transfers and disaster preparedness for hurricanes and other natural disasters.
A board-certified emergency medicine physician, his expertise extends to emergency medicine and emergency response for major events. Dr. Kuo is the on-field airway management physician for the New Orleans Saints, and he coordinates medical operations for major events, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Super Bowl LIX.
