Lee Kaplan, M.D., is the chief of the UHealth Sports Medicine Division and director of the University of Miami Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Kaplan is the medical director and head team physician of University of Miami Athletics and medical director and team physician for the Miami Marlins major league baseball team. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and a professor of orthopedics, biomedical engineering, and kinesiology and sports sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Kaplan is a renowned specialist in the sports-related knee, shoulder, and elbow injuries, and arthroscopic surgery. He earned his medical degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. 

Dr. Alexis Colvin is the Chief Medical Officer of the US Open tennis tournament, the largest annual sporting event in the world. She served as the CMO of the United States Tennis Association until its relocation from New York to Florida.  She is the first female CMO of both the US Open and the USTA, as well as the first Asian American. Dr. Colvin is also the team physician for the U.S. Billie Jean King Cup team, the world’s largest international women’s team sports competition. In addition, she has served as a physician at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO, and has been recognized by Crain’s New York in both of their “Notable Woman in the Business of Sports” rankings.
 
Dr. Colvin is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) where she has a private practice and is regularly named as one of New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors”. In addition, Dr. Colvin trains medical students and residents, has authored numerous scientific publications, and has presented at international meetings on sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery. She is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.  In addition, Dr. Colvin serves as the Senior Associate Dean for Alumni Affairs at ISMMS where she is responsible for strategic initiatives to strengthen relationships between the ISMMS and its alumni.
 
Dr. Colvin serves on the Hologic Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Women's Health Innovation Task Force with the mission of setting standards for female athletes with a translation impact on global women’s health. She is also on the board of a nonprofit focused on increasing girls’ participation in sports and an advisory board member of the AAPI Tennis Association.

Melissa Leber, MD, is board certified in both Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She is an Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, as well as the Director of Emergency Department Sports Medicine. Dr. Leber was also appointed Director of Player Medical Services of the US Open by the USTA earlier this year. As an Associate Professor in two medical specialties, Dr. Leber is involved in the education of the next generation of medical professionals, teaching medical students, residents and fellows the art of emergency medicine and orthopaedics. She lectures both regionally and nationally regarding orthopedic care in the emergency department. Her research interests include improving quality orthopedic care in the emergency department, knee injuries, professionalism in medicine, and the use of ultrasound as both a diagnostic and a therapeutic tool. In Sports Medicine, she sees all musculoskeletal complaints and injuries and specializes in ultrasound-guided diagnostics and treatment, concussion management and regenerative medicine techniques. Dr. Leber is a registered musculoskeletal sonographer with many years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures. This expertise makes her unique in the field of sports medicine, helping her to achieve more targeted results in returning athletes of all ages to their sport and activity as fast as possible.

, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine who specializes in treating injuries of the shoulder, knee and hip. She uses minimally invasive techniques for restoring joint function and to treat complex ligament, tendon, cartilage and meniscus injuries. Robertson is one of the few physicians in Southern California with specialized training in hip arthroscopy (minimally invasive hip surgery) and uses this advanced technique to treat femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and labral tears of the hip.
A professor orthopaedic surgery at University of California San Diego School of Medicine, her research interests include cartilage restoration and biology, sports injuries, and biomechanics of the hip and shoulder. She has published a number of articles related to these topics, presented at national meetings, and authored several book chapters.
Robertson is the head team physician for the San Diego Padres and the lead orthopedic surgeon for the San Diego Seals. She is also a team physician for the UC San Diego Tritons. She was an associate team physician for the San Diego Chargers. A former athlete herself, she has worked with professional, collegiate, and high school athletes and has a keen interest in the prevention and treatment of sports injuries.
