Matthew Pittman, MD, medical director of the Northwestern Medicine Metabolic Health and Surgical Weight Loss Center at Delnor Hospital. Dr. Pittman received a doctor of medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2009. He completed a residency at Loyola University Medical Center in 2014 and a fellowship at Ohio State University Hospital in 2015. As a professor in the Univeristy of California San Diego School of Medicine Department of Medicine, Grunvald is very active in teaching on topics such as metabolism, weight regulation, and treatment of obesity and weight-related medical conditions. He serves on a national committee working on standardizing obesity education in medical schools. His research interests include anti-obesity medications, obesity medicine education and bariatric surgery.
