Christine Greves, MD, is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). She received her medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine where she also completed her residency. At Orlando Health's Center of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Greves provides comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients and serves as an obstetrical and gynecological surgeon at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Dr. Greves is an advocate of minimally invasive surgery to reduce perioperative pain and speed up recovery time. One of her many passions encompasses women鈥檚 health, whether it is preventative care, health and fitness, pain, bleeding irregularities, pregnancy or any other concerns that affect a woman鈥檚 health.

Teresa P. Diaz-Montes, M.D., MPH, FACOG, serves as the Associate Director of The Lya Segall Ovarian Cancer Institute. She also is a noted expert and gynecologic oncologist with The Gynecologic Oncology Center at Mercy, a leading Center in Baltimore for the treatment of cancers of the female reproductive tract. Dr. Teresa Diaz-Montes provides diagnosis and treatment for gynecologic cancers including ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, uterine cancer, vaginal cancer, and vulvar cancer. Board Certified in Gynecologic Oncology, Dr. Teresa Diaz-Montes provides treatment for a diverse range of gynecologic cancers. Her primary clinical interests include ovarian cancer treatments, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including robotic surgery, and patient safety and quality. Additional areas of interest include cervical cancer, fallopian tube cancer, fertility-sparing surgery and uterine, vaginal and vulvar cancers. She and colleagues in The Institute for Cancer Care at Mercy are conducting the first clinical study in the United States regarding the treatment of ovarian cancer with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, also known as HIPEC. Dr. Diaz-Montes, an author and international lecturer, has numerous clinical publications related to women鈥檚 cancer treatment to her credit.

Kevin M. Audlin, M.D., is a Board Certified, experienced doctor and skilled surgeon in The Gynecology Center at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He also serves as Director of The Endometriosis Center at Mercy, a division of The Gynecology Center, focused primarily on the diagnosis and treatment of endometrial and fibroid disorders. This state-of-the-art minimally invasive technique utilizes micro surgical tools and 3 mm incisions, resulting in 40% or greater decrease in incision size than typical laparoscopic surgery.

Low impact laparoscopic surgery incisions are approximately the length of a sesame seed. Low impact laparoscopy also can reduce the effects of surgery since it requires less inflation of the abdomen during surgery and uses micro-fine tools. This groundbreaking technique in coordination with the use of 3D imagery and NBI technology most often provides Dr. Audlin the opportunity to offer the best cosmetic options as well as leading edge management of many common gynecologic problems. This type of surgery may be used for endometriosis, hysterectomy, myomectomy, ovarian cysts and oophorectomy (removal of one or both ovaries). Dr. Audlin has in-depth training and experience in treating the many levels of gynecologic care 鈥� from routine annual exams to pelvic reconstruction using the da Vinci Robot. Minimally invasive procedures using laparoscopic and robotic surgery have become the gold standard of care to treat many GYN conditions. Dr. Audlin has exceptional skill and knowledge in treating Interstitial Cystitis, a painful bladder condition.

One treatment option that requires the expertise of a gynecologist like Dr. Audlin is called sacral nerve stimulation. This is where a thin wire is put in place and delivers an electrical impulse to the bladder to help it perform properly. This procedure is often compared to what a pacemaker does for the heart.

Dr. Feinberg received a doctor of medicine from Rush University Medical College in 2000. She completed a residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in 2004 and a fellowship at the Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health in 2007. Dr. Charu Kaushic has served in the role of Scientific Director of the CIHR-Institute of Infection and Immunity (III) since July 1, 2018. Dr. Kaushic is also a tenured Full Professor in the Department of Medicine in McMaster University, where she has established her research program and taught for 19 years. She is a member of the McMaster Immunology Research Centre and the Michael G. DeGroote Institute of Infectious Disease Research at the university. She has cross appointments to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster.

In her role as the Scientific Director for CIHR-III, Dr. Kaushic is responsible for making decisions for CIHR strategic investments in the area of infection and immunity, nationally and internationally. She also represents CIHR and the Government of Canada at various national and international forums related to infectious diseases. In this capacity, she serves as Chair of the Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R), a global consortium of funders in pandemic preparedness and emergency response research. She is also an Executive Committee Member of the COVID-19 Immunity Task Force, a national Task Force mandated to deliver a coordinated sero-survey agenda for the deployment of public health measures and work closely with a range of partners on SARS-CoV-2 vaccine surveillance across Canada. Dr. Kaushic also represents Canada on the Global AMR R&D Hub as well as the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR) Management Board.

Dr. Kaushic's program of research at McMaster is focused on understanding various aspects of host-pathogen interaction as they relate to women's susceptibility and immune responses to the sexually transmitted viral pathogens HIV and herpes virus. The goal of her research program is to develop gender-specific prevention and therapeutic approaches, including vaccines and immunomodulatory interventions, to address the disproportionate burden of STIs on women worldwide, and to provide women with the information and choices to make informed decisions regarding their reproductive health. Her research program covers a broad spectrum from basic research to clinical and translational projects. She has worked closely in partnership with African-Caribbean-Black community organizations for more than 15 years.

Dr. Kaushic completed a Master鈥檚 at Delhi University, her PhD at the National Institute of Immunology in New Delhi, before completing post-doctoral training at Dartmouth Medical School, New Hampshire in mucosal immunology. She joined the Faculty of Health Sciences in McMaster University in 2002. Dr. Kaushic has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and reviews in influential journals and books and mentored more than 65 trainees at different levels. She is the past recipient of a Rockefeller Post-Doctoral Award, an OHTN New Investigator Scholarship, CIHR New Investigator Award and an Applied HIV Research Chair Award from the Ontario HIV Treatment Network. She has also received multiple research achievement awards, including the AJRI Senior Investigator Award from American Society of Reproductive Immunology. She was the Principal Investigator of four CIHR grants, including a large team grant, at the time that she joined CIHR.

Dr. Kaushic is an advocate for women's reproductive health and choices and is passionate about encouraging women to pursue careers and leadership roles in STEM fields.

Dr. Borahay is the Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He specializes in robotic and laparoscopic surgeries for complex conditions, including uterine fibroids and advanced endometriosis. Dr. Borahay performs single-site gynecologic surgery and same-day hysterectomy.

Dr. Borahay's book Fibroids and Reproduction presents recent updates on fibroid treatment for clinicians.

Dr. Borahay is a referral expert. He has received the Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology designation. Notably, Dr. Borahay received the Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award from the John P. McGovern Academy of Oslerian Medicine.

Dr. Borahay is the Principal Investigator of a multi-institutional NIH-funded study of uterine fibroid that includes a clinical trial. His research focuses on developing innovative fibroid treatments. 

Dr. Borahay has authored more than 50 scientific publications. His accomplishments have been recognized at national and international conferences through more than 100 presentations.

Ie-Ming Shih is one of the world鈥檚 leading scientists and pathologists for women鈥檚 cancers. He has led and contributed to a new paradigm in the origin of ovarian cancer, which upends decade鈥檚 old view and posits that ovarian cancers arise from the oviduct rather than from the ovary.  This may explain why current strategies of early detection fail. Shih is leading collaborative research to understand the molecular landscape and evolutionary history of early ovarian cancer, use routine Pap smears to detect oviduct precancer lesions that travel down to the opening of the uterus and advocate to remove fallopian tubes in women for prevention, if there is a surgical opportunity.

Dr. Alessandro D. Santin, a native of Italy, graduated with honors from the University of Brescia, Italy and received his postgraduate training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the same University. He served a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of California, Irvine and an International Fellowship in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Santin joined the faculty in the Section of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at Yale as Professor as of July 2008. He was the recipient of the American Association young investigator award and the Italian Society of Gynecologic Oncologists award for translational science. Dr. Santin has more that 300 original research and peer-reviewed publications including multiple review articles and book chapters and he has written extensively on various topics, including cancer of the ovary, endometrium and cervix as well as on tumor immunology and immunotherapy.
Dr. Santin's clinical interests include cancer of the ovary, uterus, vagina, cervix and vulva; intraperitoneal chemotherapy, tumor genetics, immunology and immunotherapy; tumor angiogenesis, radiation biology and experimental therapeutics in Gynecologic Oncology. His current research interests include immunotherapy for ovarian, cervical and endometrial carcinomas refractory to standard treatment modalities; development of therapeutic vaccines against Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infected genital tumors, and the use of monoclonal antibodies against chemotherapy resistant gynecologic malignancies.

Catherine Y. Spong, M.D., is Professor and Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
She previously served as Vice Chair for the Department and Chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Spong specializes in prematurity, fetal complications, and improving outcomes in children. Her clinical responsibilities are in the Parkland Health and Hospital System.
Dr. Spong received her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in 1991. After serving as Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, she began her career at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellow, which also included clinical work at Georgetown University. Then, she became a Clinical Associate and Senior Staff Fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the NICHD's intramural research program. There, she directed a lab, the Unit on Perinatal and Developmental Neurobiology, that focused on neuroprotective peptides and fetal development utilizing models of fetal alcohol syndrome and Down syndrome. In 2000, she joined NICHD's extramural program.
Over a career that spanned 23 years, Dr. Spong served in many capacities at NIH, including as NICHD's Deputy Director, Acting Director, Associate Director for Extramural Research and Director of the Division of Extramural Research, and Chief of the Pregnancy and Perinatology Branch. She was the Chair of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Federal Task Force on Research Specific to Pregnant Women and Lactating Women. In 2018, she joined the faculty at UT Southwestern as Chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Among Dr. Spong's areas of expertise are maternal and child health, emphasizing prematurity, fetal complications, and improving child outcomes. One of her major research interests has been the developing fetus. She holds several patents for neuroprotective agents that help prevent fetal injury. Other research interests include improving the understanding of stillbirth, fetal surgery for myelomeningocele, zika in pregnancy, and the human placenta. During her tenure at NICHD, she launched the Human Placenta Project. She is a passionate advocate for inclusion in research for under represented groups.
Dr. Spong is board-certified in maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology. She is an Editor of William's Obstetrics, Management of High Risk Pregnancy, Protocols for High-Risk Pregnancies, and Stillbirth: Prediction, Prevention and Management. She has received numerous research awards, including the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Achievement Award, the UMKC Alumnus of the Year Award, several NIH director's Awards, and a Surgeon General's Certificate of Appreciation for work on prematurity. She has published more than 270 peer-reviewed papers and been featured on national television and radio, including The CBS Early Show, the Diane Rehm Show, NPR's All Things Considered, CNN, and Voice of America, where she discussed women's health and pregnancy topics.
