Jean S. Moorjani, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She is a member of the medical education faculty that works with the pediatric residency training program. Her areas of focus include breastfeeding, asthma and children with special healthcare needs. Dr. Moorjani earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. 

Dr. Moorjani is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Within the AAP, she is a fellow of the Section on Breastfeeding, the Section on Hospital Medicine and a fellow of the Council on Communications and Media. 

Ruchi Gupta, MD, is an Attending Physician, Academic General Pediatrics and Primary Care, at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Gupta also is the Director of the Science and Outcomes of Allergy and Asthma Research Team (SOAAR). Her clinical interests are in the areas of asthma, food allergy, and eczema. She is involved in clinical, epidemiological, and community research. She has been nationally recognized for her research in the areas of food allergy and asthma epidemiology.

Susan R. Bailey, MD, an allergist/immunologist from Fort Worth, Texas, was elected president of the American Medical Association in June 2020. Previously, she served as president-elect of the AMA for one year, speaker of the AMA House of Delegates for four years and as vice speaker for four years. Dr. Bailey, who has been active in the AMA since medical school when she served as chair of the AMA Medical Student Section, has held numerous leadership positions with the AMA. These include serving as chair of both the Advisory Panel on Women in Medicine and the AMA Council on Medical Education, as well as representing the AMA on the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the American Board of Medical Specialties, and COLA. Her long history of service in helping guide organized medicine extends to the local and state levels as well. She has served as board chair and president of the Tarrant County Medical Society, and as vice speaker, speaker and president of the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Bailey is an allergist in private practice, and has been with Fort Worth Allergy and Asthma Associates for over 30 years. She completed her residency in general pediatrics and a fellowship in allergy/immunology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn., and is board certified in allergy and immunology, and pediatrics and has been awarded the title of Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. In addition to receiving her medical degree with honors from the Texas A&M University College of Medicine as a member of its charter class, Dr. Bailey was later appointed to the Texas A&M System Board of Regents by then Gov. George W. Bush, and has been named a Distinguished Alumnus of Texas A&M University and of Texas A&M University College of Medicine.

Chronic inflammation underlies pathologies as seemingly diverse as cancer, allergy, and a festering wound. My research focuses on discovering the dysfunctional molecular signals and circuitry causing cells to become bad actors, and why some people are more prone to these problems than others. In the lab we do this by examining signal transduction in cells differentiated from adult stem cells, particularly mast cells, macrophages, immature myeloid cells, and different populations of mesenchymal stem cells. We also use in vivo modeling to observe the consequences of targeting certain pathways in inflammatory diseases. The lab's broad areas include (1) Mast Cell Biology; (2) Inflammatory Modulation; and (3) Immune Cell Dynamics in Cancer. Our ultimate goals are to better understand the diversity of innate and adaptive immune responses, and contribute knowledge to more individually tailored approaches for treatment. Current projects include: Signaling networks (esp. TGF-β1) and differential expression of myeloid cells during inflammation and in response to immunosuppression Off-label drug uses and novel compounds, such as plant alkaloids and cannabinoids, for healthful resolution of inflammatory responses Cellular & molecular mechanisms underlying complementary and integrative health practices such as exercise. Erica Farrand, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, Allergy and Sleep Medicine. She is attending physician in the Interstitial Lung Disease Program and on the Pulmonary Consult Service and co-director of the UCSF ILD Program. Dr. Farrand's scholarship focuses on defining, assessing and improving the health care quality, safety and outcomes for individuals with interstitial lung disease. She collaborates closely with colleagues in ILD, health services research, implementation science and informatics to support a multidisciplinary research program. She earned her medical degree at Columbia University’s Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine. She completed a fellowship in pulmonology and critical care medicine at UCSF.

, MD, PhD, is a sought-after expert in food allergy, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease, and eczema (atopic dermatitis). As Chief of the Allergy Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), he focuses on improving the quality of life for children with allergies and related conditions.
He is also the Director of the Center for Pediatric Eosinophilic Disorders, Stuart E. Starr Chair of Pediatrics at CHOP and Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Spergel has led multicenter clinical trials for food allergy, EoE, or atopic dermatitis sponsored by NIH, PCORI, industry, foundations, and academic partners. His research identified the role of genetics, foods and t-cells in eosinophilic esophagitis and found that  can be outgrown.
