Chia-Hsueh Lee, PhD, and Yaxin Dai, PhD, St. Jude Department of Structural Biology obtained ten structures of the human urate transporter URAT1 to uncover the transporter’s mechanism of action and provide insight into future drug discovery efforts to treat gout and other kidney diseases.
