Ben Laden's death comes like a reminder of an outdated past. It underscores the fact that "Benladenism" is just as obsolete as the "Bushism" to which it corresponded. Jihadism and al-Qaida sponsored terrorism belong to a period during which political life was moribund - they represent a cry of despair in the absence of real solutions.
Since January 2011, political life has begun anew in the Arab world - its peoples have found the way to achieve real change, progress and hope. They are their way towards solutions. Futhermore, other societies are about to take inspiration from the Arab Spring. Even before his death, Ben Laden's time had come.
