Newswise — LOS ANGELES (April 9, 2025) -- Cedars-Sinai experts are participating in Abu Dhabi Global Health Week, April 15-17 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The conference is dedicated to fostering collaboration among clinicians and researchers, with the goal of enhancing healthcare worldwide.

This marks the second consecutive year that  leaders are attending, underscoring Cedars-Sinai’s dedication to sharing medical innovations and learning from global partners. The team—located in Hall 6, Booth A32—will be available to discuss longevity, the impact of global collaboration, data-driven healthcare systems and other topics.

Abu Dhabi Global Health Week brings together prominent thought leaders to discuss key topics shaping the future of healthcare: longevity and precision health, health system resilience and sustainability, digital health and AI, and investment in life science. The conference is expecting 150 exhibitors and 15,000 attendees from 90 countries.

Kirkland will discuss his research on how targeting senescent cells with the class of drugs his team discovered, senolytics, might prevent, delay or treat a variety of diseases. “As we increase our understanding of agents that target aging processes and their effects, we hope there may be benefits for a range of human diseases and disorders,” Kirkland said.

Also, in collaboration with Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, Dubovsky and Maxwell Nicholson, associate director of Patient Experience at Cedars-Sinai, will lead a group of patient experience experts from the region at a full-day workshop focused on cultivating meaningful patient experience strategies to build successful action plans.

Cedars-Sinai has been named to the Honor Roll for the ninth consecutive year and tied for No. 1 in California and Los Angeles in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals 2024-25” rankings.
