(LLNS), LLC, donated more than $3.4 million to nonprofit organizations via the annual employee charitable giving program, the Helping Others More Effectively (HOME) Campaign.

Laboratory employees pledged more than $2.4 million. LLNS, which manages the Laboratory for the , added a $1 million match. The $1 million is prorated across all recipient organizations, augmenting employee donations. This contribution, combined with LLNL employee pledges, totaled more than $3.4 million. One hundred percent of the funds donated go directly to agencies that are selected by employees.

In addition to the $1 million match, $300,000 from LLNS has been allocated for a year-round giving campaign starting in 2025, providing Laboratory employees with the opportunity to continue their charitable efforts even after the HOME Campaign concludes, highlighting LLNS's commitment to fostering a culture of philanthropy and community engagement throughout the year.

Donations will benefit more than 1,200 community/nonprofit agencies in the Tri-Valley, Greater Bay Area, San Joaquin County and beyond.

This year, the Laboratory celebrated a milestone achievement: 50 years of giving. “The HOME Campaign, now celebrating its 50th anniversary, is our biggest employee charitable giving event. This initiative reflects our deep commitment to making a positive impact on both our local communities and the world at large,” said Kim Budil, president of LLNS and director of the Laboratory.

Since 1974, the Lab's HOME Campaign has provided employees with the opportunity to give to nonprofits that are important to them. Over the past 50 years, the campaign has successfully raised more than $82 million to support communities in need.
